South Orange USY Board Members:

President- Jason Roth

The President is responsible for overseeing and assisting all other board members. The President will attend and preside over chapter board meetings. The President is the USY representative to the synagogue and also to the region. The President will work with the Advisor and all other elected board members to see that all chapter events run smoothly.

Israeli-Awareness Vice President- Eliana Schechter

The Israeli-Awareness Vice President  is responsible for assisting the President and all Executive Board members in any way necessary. The Executive/ Israel Awareness V. P. should bring current events in Israel to the attention of our USYers at every meeting. He or she will initiate and oversee events with Israel content. He or she is responsible for promoting summer programs as well as membership in HeChalutzim

Religious Education Vice President- Abigail Litwinoff

The Religious Education Vice President is responsible for helping to plan all chapter meetings with a religious and/or education component such as a Sukkah Hop or a Tu B’Shevat Seder. The Rel/Ed V. P. may also work with the Rabbis and Cantors on various aspects of Youth Shabbat. He or she should also promote membership in the Heschel Honor Society,

Membership Programming Vice President- Nadia Duchantier

The Membership-Programming Vice-President is responsible for gathering information pertaining to future programs and is expected to work closely with the program chairperson for each program. He or she is also responsible for attracting and welcoming new members as well as retaining current membership. The Mem/Prog V. P. also works to increase the active participation of all chapter members.

Social Action/Tikkun Olam Vice President- Danny Jacobs

The SATO Vice-President is responsible for all SATO events, both those that raise money for Tikun Olam and those that involve social action. The SATO V.P. should try to educate chapter members about different social action issues. He or she should also promote membership in the 613 Mitzvah Corps.

Communications Vice President- Rachel Drucker

The Communications Vice-President is responsible for creating flyers for programs, and e-mailing them out to chapter members. The Communications V.P. will also oversee the web page and make sure to keep it up-to-date. The Communications V.P. will work with the President to create events on Facebook and monitor RSVPs. If the chapter decides to have a Facebook page, the Communications V.P. will serve as one of the administrators of the page.
